I remember at the family gatherings Uncle Carl's wonderful laugh, the big hugs he would give, and
how tall he was. I wish he had a chance to meet his great nephew, Scott, for Scott has followed in
Uncle Carl's footsteps at being 6'7" tall.

When Carl was well and ambulatory, I often took him with me to business meetings and conferences. It was a respite from his care-giver duties for my Mom who was suffering the ravages of Alzheimers Disease. He seemed to enjoy these outings considerably, and we always would spend the home-bound commute in animated discussion of the day's events and content One day he confided in Barb, because he knew that I likely wouldn't be receptive to his recommendation directly, that he thought that I could be much more successful in business if only I would wear a bow-tie!

Uncle Carl, always active, always into life. I am delighted to have shared time portions of our lives, scattered across 69 years! I presume we will share more fun times in the future, too.
